Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook authentic Italian pizzas according to L'Osteria’s recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Manage pizza dough preparation, including kneading, shaping, and proofing to achieve the perfect texture and flavor.
  • Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring optimal temperature and cooking times for each order.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during peak hours.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and report shortages to the kitchen manager to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist in training new team members on pizza-making techniques and kitchen protocols.
  • Contribute to menu development by suggesting new pizza variations or seasonal specials.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pizza Maker or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen, preferably in Italian cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of pizza dough preparation, including kneading, stretching, and baking techniques.
  • Familiarity with wood-fired or stone ovens is a plus.
