Responsibility
- Translate written documents, emails, and reports from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa with precision and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide real-time verbal interpretation during meetings, conferences, and negotiations between Mandarin and Indonesian speakers.
- Review and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry-specific terminology.
- Assist in localizing content for target audiences, including marketing materials, legal documents, and technical manuals.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive business communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and high-quality translations across all departments.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and industry-specific jargon in both languages.
- Support the preparation of bilingual presentations and training materials as needed.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and verbal) and Indonesian, with near-native proficiency in both.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in translation, interpretation, or a related linguistic role, preferably in a business or corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt translations accordingly.
- Excellent attention to detail, proofreading skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Chinese Language, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, glossaries) is a plus.
- Professional certification in translation or interpretation (e.g., NAATI, HPI) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
