Responsibility
- Translate written and spoken content between Mandarin Chinese and English with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Edit and proofread translations to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to industry standards.
- Assist in interpreting during meetings, conferences, and business negotiations.
- Localize marketing materials, websites, and product documentation for target audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication between Chinese and international partners.
- Maintain glossaries, terminology databases, and style guides for consistent translations.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and industry-specific terminology.
- Provide language support for legal, technical, or financial documents as needed.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal).
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in business, legal, or technical fields.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences between Chinese and Western business practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) is a plus.
- Prior experience in Bali or Southeast Asia is advantageous but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
