Responsibility
- Provide accurate and real-time interpretation between Chinese, English, and Tagalog during meetings, conferences, and operational discussions.
- Translate written documents, including reports, emails, contracts, and technical manuals, ensuring clarity and cultural appropriateness.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication to enhance collaboration between international teams and local staff.
- Assist in resolving language-related misunderstandings or conflicts in a professional and diplomatic manner.
- Develop and maintain a glossary of industry-specific terminology to ensure consistency in translations.
- Support training sessions and workshops by providing language assistance to non-native speakers.
- Review and edit translated materials to meet quality standards and adhere to company guidelines.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and industry jargon to deliver high-quality interpretation services.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Tagalog with excellent written and verbal communication skills in all three languages.
- Proven experience as an interpreter or translator, preferably in a business, BPO, or multicultural environment.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt communication styles accordingly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, International Relations, or a related field is a plus.
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to convey tone, intent, and context accurately.
- Proficiency in using translation tools, CAT software, or other language-related technologies is an advantage.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and maintain composure in fast-paced situations.
