Responsibility
- Inspect and verify that all packaging materials (primary and secondary) comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough quality checks at various stages of the production process to identify defects or non-conformities.
- Document inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to local and international packaging regulations, including ISO, FDA, and other relevant standards.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in audits (internal and external) to maintain certifications and compliance with industry benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Packaging Technology, or a related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or a similar role within the manufacturing or packaging industry.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, FDA).
- Proficient in using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, spectrophotometers) and quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
