Join a dynamic automotive manufacturing team as a Production Management Engineer in Melaka, Malaysia. Responsibility
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficient line start-up, output targets, and on-time delivery.
- Monitor and control rework processes to minimize defects and enhance product quality.
- Develop and implement production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation plans.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics teams to resolve operational issues.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., IATF 16949).
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans for production deviations.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices, SOPs, and lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive production management, manufacturing operations, or process engineering.
- Proven expertise in production planning, line balancing, and continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, TPM).
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and automotive standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949).
- Proficiency in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP software, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shift-based environments and under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies is a plus.
