Note: This role is open to candidates based in Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung) with the flexibility to work remotely or from AIIB-approved coworking spaces.
Responsibility
- Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of private-sector infrastructure investments, including debt, equity, and blended finance solutions.
- Develop and maintain strategic client relationships with private enterprises, financial institutions, and government agencies across Asia.
- Conduct financial due diligence and risk assessments for high-value infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with AIIB’s sustainability and development goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative financing mechanisms, such as green bonds, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and co-investment structures.
- Represent AIIB at industry conferences, investor forums, and high-level stakeholder meetings to promote the bank’s investment priorities.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives on best practices in infrastructure finance.
- Monitor portfolio performance and provide strategic recommendations to optimize investment outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with AIIB’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards in all investment activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in investment banking, project finance, or private-sector infrastructure investments, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Asian infrastructure markets, financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., PPPs, green finance, sovereign guarantees).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, Moody’s Analytics).
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage with C-level executives, government officials, and institutional investors in a multicultural environment.
- Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, or another Asian language is a strong advantage.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel regionally (up to 30%) and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
