Responsibility
- Ensure full compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, and permits issued by relevant government agencies (e.g., DENR, LLDA).
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) and pollution control programs.
- Conduct regular environmental audits, inspections, and assessments of plant operations, facilities, and processes.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, as well as wastewater management.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely environmental reports, including Self-Monitoring Reports (SMRs) and compliance monitoring reports, to regulatory bodies.
- Lead and facilitate environmental awareness training for employees to promote a culture of sustainability and compliance.
- Liaise effectively with government environmental agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Investigate and resolve environmental incidents or non-compliance issues, recommending corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Must be a Licensed Pollution Control Officer (PCO) accredited by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in environmental compliance, EHS, or a PCO role, preferably within a manufacturing or automotive setting.
- Thorough knowledge of Philippine environmental laws and regulations (e.g., RA 6969, RA 8749, RA 9275, RA 9003).
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage environmental programs effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using standard office software and environmental management tools.
