Responsibility
- Design and develop high-precision plastic injection moulds using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure mould designs meet product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for mould designs to optimize production efficiency.
- Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation for mould fabrication and assembly.
- Perform simulations and tests to validate mould performance, durability, and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design or manufacturing issues during the mould development process.
- Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance mould design practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in all design processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastic mould design, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar) and mould flow analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of plastic materials, injection moulding processes, and tooling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is a plus.
