As a Patient Safety Officer, you will provide technical and administrative support to senior management, ensuring compliance with international healthcare safety protocols, risk management frameworks, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and monitor patient safety policies and procedures in alignment with local and international healthcare standards (e.g., JCI, WHO).
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for adverse events, near-misses, and sentinel events, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead risk assessment initiatives to identify potential hazards in clinical and non-clinical processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver patient safety training programs for staff at all levels.
  • Oversee the incident reporting system, ensuring timely documentation, investigation, and follow-up.
  • Analyze patient safety data and generate reports to track trends, measure performance, and drive data-informed improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical departments, senior management, and regulatory bodies on safety-related matters.
  • Promote a culture of transparency and accountability by encouraging open communication about safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Public Health, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare quality management, patient safety, or risk management.
  • Certification in Patient Safety (e.g., CPPS, CPSO) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards (JCI, ISO, or local equivalents).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in RCA and FMEA methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software) and healthcare IT systems.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is an advantage.
