Borneo Food & Goods is seeking a Pastry Commis to join our dynamic culinary team in Bali’s most vibrant food destinations—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with our head pastry chef to craft high-quality, visually stunning desserts that delight guests and elevate our brand. Whether it’s perfecting a classic French macaron, innovating with tropical flavors, or ensuring consistency in every batch, your creativity and precision will be at the heart of our kitchen.

Responsibility
- Assist the Head Pastry Chef in preparing and plating desserts, pastries, and baked goods to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Measure, mix, and bake ingredients according to recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency.
- Decorate and garnish desserts with precision and artistic flair, adhering to brand guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal dessert menus and special offerings.
- Follow HACCP and food safety protocols to ensure all products meet health and safety standards.
- Assist in cost control measures by minimizing waste and optimizing ingredient usage.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, or hotel (fresh graduates with strong passion are encouraged to apply).
- Formal training in pastry arts, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and dessert plating.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creative mindset with a passion for flavor innovation and presentation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a bonus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
