Responsibility
- Engage and interact with dogs through play, walks, and enrichment activities to ensure their physical and mental well-being.
- Monitor and assess dog behavior, health, and mood, reporting any concerns to management or pet owners promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the facility, including kennels, play areas, and common spaces, adhering to strict sanitation standards.
- Provide regular updates to pet owners via photos, videos, and messages to keep them informed and reassured about their dogâs stay.
- Follow feeding schedules and dietary instructions, ensuring each dog receives the correct food and medications as required.
- Assist with grooming and basic care tasks, such as brushing, bathing, or nail trimming, when needed.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs professionally, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for both dogs and their owners.
- Collaborate with team members to create a safe, fun, and structured environment for all dogs in our care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with dogs (e.g., pet sitting, dog walking, veterinary assistance, or shelter work) is highly preferred.
- Genuine love and patience for animals, with a calm and confident demeanor around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Basic knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and first aid (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact with pet owners and team members effectively.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to commit to a consistent part-time schedule.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle active dogs, long walks, and facility maintenance tasks.
- Attention to detail in following care instructions, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to our companyâs policies, procedures, and best practices for dog care.
