Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain packaging quality standards in alignment with international regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA, EU directives).
- Conduct thorough audits of packaging materials, designs, and supplier processes to ensure compliance with company and industry specifications.
- Collaborate with procurement and R&D teams to evaluate and approve new packaging suppliers, materials, and technologies.
- Monitor and analyze packaging performance data, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to prevent defects or non-compliance.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for packaging-related issues and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions, certifications, and internal quality records.
- Train and mentor cross-functional teams on packaging best practices, compliance requirements, and quality control procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging packaging trends, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, CQE) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in packaging quality assurance, compliance, or supplier management within manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics industries.
- In-depth knowledge of international packaging standards (ISO, ASTM, FDA, GMP, REACH) and testing methodologies (e.g., drop tests, seal integrity, barrier properties).
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, conduct audits, and resolve quality-related disputes.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) and quality management systems (QMS).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with global teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with sustainable packaging solutions and circular economy principles is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently in a contract role, with a results-driven and detail-oriented mindset.
