Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and production teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand guidelines, product requirements, and consumer expectations.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging packaging trends, materials, and technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of packaging designs to ensure durability, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and source high-quality materials at optimal costs.
- Ensure all packaging meets regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance (e.g., recyclability, biodegradability).
- Develop and implement packaging guidelines, specifications, and best practices for consistency across product lines.
- Analyze packaging performance metrics and consumer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the consumer goods or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks) and 3D modeling tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proven track record of cost optimization and vendor negotiation in packaging procurement.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, local environmental laws).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
