DSV Shared Services Asia is currently seeking an Operational Finance Assistant to join our high-performing team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Accounting and Controlling functions for our APAC operations, ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.

As part of our dynamic Shared Services center, you will play a key role in tax coordination and audit preparation, working closely with regional stakeholders to maintain financial integrity. Responsibility

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for various APAC entities.
  • Support the Tax team in filing indirect and direct tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve queries.
  • Perform routine reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and operational finance schedules.
  • Maintain and update financial records in the ERP system to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes for assigned regions.
  • Provide support for intercompany reconciliations and financial reporting tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA pursuing or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles.
  • Strong understanding of tax principles and statutory audit requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP software is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment with cross-border teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
