Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain NOC tooling platforms and automation frameworks to support network operations and managed services.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of NOC tools, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline NOC workflows and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
- Document platform configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance NOC capabilities and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance to NOC analysts and other stakeholders on platform usage and troubleshooting.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents and ensure 24/7 platform availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in NOC tooling, platform engineering, or network operations support.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl for automation and tooling development.
- Hands-on experience with NOC tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar monitoring platforms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP, Syslog) and infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
