Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless systems, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to optimize speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.
- Lead the migration and integration of cloud-based networking solutions (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments) while ensuring seamless interoperability with on-premises systems.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust) to enhance network efficiency and security.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and cross-functional stakeholders on network best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and support in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, MPLS) and network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei).
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, including VPNs, SSL/TLS, IPsec, and network segmentation.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with global teams and stakeholders.
