We are seeking a highly competent and integrity-driven professional to fill the position of Municipal Government Department Head I (Municipal Treasurer) in the Bicol Region. Responsibility

  • Develop and implement comprehensive revenue collection programs to meet local government targets.
  • Manage the custody and proper disbursement of all municipal funds in accordance with the Local Government Code.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely submission of reports to the Commission on Audit (COA) and the Department of Finance (DOF).
  • Advise the Mayor and the Sangguniang Bayan on matters concerning local taxation and fiscal policy.
  • Oversee the issuance of licenses and collection of business taxes, fees, and charges.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and inspection of municipal financial operations to ensure internal control integrity.
  • Lead and mentor the treasury staff to foster a high-performance and ethical workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Must possess Career Service Professional (Sub-professional) eligibility or an appropriate PRC license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury or accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Local Government Code of the Philippines and government accounting systems (eNGAS).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional integrity, leadership, and public communication skills.
  • Willingness to be stationed in the Bicol Region.
