The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Local Treasury Operations Officer I in the Bicol Region. Responsibility
- Monitor and record daily local treasury transactions, including collections, disbursements, and fund transfers.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements for departmental review and local government auditing.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Local Government Code and prevailing accounting guidelines regarding treasury operations.
- Maintain effective coordination with provincial and regional offices to streamline fiscal processes.
- Manage local tax assessments and collection activities to support community infrastructure and service projects.
- Safeguard government assets and ensure compliance with security protocols in cash handling and record management.
- Assist in the preparation of budget proposals and monitor fund allocation for designated programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Civil Service Professional Eligibility (Second Level) or equivalent RA 1080 eligibility.
- Proven understanding of government accounting, treasury management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and local government financial software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professional ethics in public service.
