Responsibility
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web applications, APIs, and databases to ensure software functionality and reliability.
- Perform API testing to validate endpoints, request/response payloads, and error handling using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Conduct SQL queries to verify data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in databases.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement reviews and test planning sessions to ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality throughout the SDLC, from development to deployment.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Stay updated with the latest QA trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve testing processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual QA testing, with a focus on API testing and SQL.
- Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the SDLC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with automated testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus but not required.
