Responsibility
- Supervise and perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and fans.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices for rotating equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance data.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on rotating equipment in a chemical plant or similar industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vibration analysis.
- Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively supervise teams.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
