Responsibility
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical systems in healthcare facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute facility upgrades and expansions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted patient care.
- Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and maintenance staff.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and healthcare facilities management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in using CAD software and facility management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Certification in mechanical engineering or facilities management is a plus.
