Responsibility
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies to promote YMCA's programs and initiatives.
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and website updates, ensuring brand consistency.
- Support the planning and execution of events, including logistics, promotions, and post-event reporting.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using analytics tools, providing insights for optimization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and craft compelling stories for press releases and media outreach.
- Assist in managing the organization's social media presence, including scheduling posts and engaging with the online community.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform strategy.
- Provide administrative support to the MarComms team, including maintaining media lists, updating databases, and coordinating meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for storytelling and a desire to make a positive impact through communications.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in marketing, communications, or event management is an advantage.
