Responsibility
- Process and validate corporate actions (dividends, mergers, stock splits) for equities in accordance with market regulations.
- Monitor and reconcile trade settlements to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams (trading, compliance, finance) to resolve discrepancies and mitigate operational risks.
- Maintain up-to-date records of equity transactions and corporate action events in proprietary systems.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with external parties, including custodians and brokers, to confirm transaction details.
- Identify and escalate potential issues in trade lifecycle management.
- Support ad-hoc projects related to process improvements in market operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (fresh graduates welcome).
- Basic understanding of equities, corporate actions, or financial markets (training provided).
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with financial software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Prior internship or experience in banking operations is advantageous but not required.
