Responsibility
- Lead and oversee regulatory compliance programs for Checkout.Com's APAC operations, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess changes in regulatory landscapes, providing strategic guidance to senior management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and business teams to ensure compliance is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, managing inspections, inquiries, and reporting obligations.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on compliance-related topics, fostering a culture of compliance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CAMS, CFA, FRM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of APAC regulatory frameworks, including anti-money laundering (AML), data protection, and payment services regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in managing regulatory audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
