Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies to amplify NTU’s reputation and academic influence.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
- Proactively pitch high-impact stories regarding faculty research, student achievements, and university initiatives.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, op-eds, media advisories, and talking points for university leadership.
- Provide strategic media counsel and interview coaching for faculty members and subject matter experts.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate press coverage for university events, launches, and crisis communications.
- Monitor media trends, news cycles, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for thought leadership.
Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in corporate communications, PR agencies, or journalism.
- Exceptional command of English with proven experience in editorial storytelling and technical writing.
- Strong existing network of media contacts within Singapore and international press.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex academic concepts for mass media consumption.
- Experience in digital media management and monitoring PR performance metrics.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to navigate a large, matrixed organization.
