Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate M&E systems seamlessly into project plans.
- Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for M&E components.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality, safety, and adherence to technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve M&E-related issues, providing technical guidance to on-site teams.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including shop drawings, method statements, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure all M&E works meet sustainability and energy efficiency standards where applicable.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to procure high-quality M&E materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E coordination for construction projects, preferably in commercial, residential, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software for M&E design and coordination.
- Strong knowledge of local and international M&E codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, SNI).
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement for M&E systems.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green certification standards (e.g., LEED, Green Mark).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a problem-solving mindset.
