Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor import shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with international trade laws.
- Manage customs clearance processes, including documentation, classification, and valuation of goods to minimize delays and penalties.
- Prepare and submit import permits, licenses, and duty/tax exemption applications in accordance with Indonesian and international regulations.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve clearance issues and optimize duty savings.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics transactions, including shipping documents, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and supply chain teams to align logistics activities with business objectives and budget constraints.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in freight, warehousing, and customs duties without compromising service quality.
- Stay updated on changes in trade policies, tariffs, and regulations to ensure continuous compliance and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Customs Broker License, CIPS, or CSCP) are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, customs clearance, or import/export operations (5+ years for Senior Officer level).
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, import duties, and trade compliance (familiarity with ASEAN trade agreements is advantageous).
- Proven ability to manage high-volume shipments with precision and meet tight deadlines in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex logistics challenges and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a bonus).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management and process improvement.
