Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage carrier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Utilize McLeod software to track shipments, manage documentation, and optimize logistics operations.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to secure competitive pricing and service levels.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues or delays to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, warehouse, and customer service, to streamline logistics processes.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, carrier performance, and transportation costs.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, carrier sales, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of transportation management.
- Proficiency in McLeod software or other transportation management systems (TMS).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices in logistics.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
