The Municipal Government of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, is seeking a highly competent and dedicated Local Treasury Operations Officer III to join our financial management team. Responsibility
- Monitor and oversee daily treasury operations to ensure liquidity and financial stability of the municipality.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for government compliance.
- Manage the disbursement of funds in accordance with government auditing rules and regulations (COA standards).
- Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to prevent financial irregularities and revenue leakage.
- Assist in the formulation of annual budget proposals and revenue generation strategies for local projects.
- Coordinate with different departments to reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Supervise junior treasury staff and provide training on updated financial procedures and digital taxation systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in local government treasury or public financial management.
- Working knowledge of the Local Government Code of the Philippines and government accounting systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and government-standard accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and high integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information.
- Eligibility: Civil Service Professional or Second Level Eligibility required.
