Responsibility
- Oversee daily treasury operations, including revenue collection, disbursement, and cash management activities.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with COA and Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) regulations.
- Monitor the status of local tax collections and implement strategies to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Reconcile bank statements, ledger entries, and other financial documents to maintain fiscal transparency.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial plans and budget monitoring reports for local government units.
- Provide technical guidance to subordinate staff regarding treasury policies, procedures, and internal control mechanisms.
- Coordinate with various government departments to resolve discrepancies in financial records and disbursement processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in government accounting, treasury operations, or public financial management.
- Working knowledge of the Local Government Code of the Philippines and relevant government auditing rules.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and government-prescribed financial software/database systems.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail, specifically in handling sensitive financial data and public funds.
- Preferably a Civil Service Professional Eligibility holder or relevant PRC license holder.
