Responsibility

  • Oversee daily treasury operations, including revenue collection, disbursement, and cash management activities.
  • Prepare and analyze complex financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with COA and Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) regulations.
  • Monitor the status of local tax collections and implement strategies to ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Reconcile bank statements, ledger entries, and other financial documents to maintain fiscal transparency.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial plans and budget monitoring reports for local government units.
  • Provide technical guidance to subordinate staff regarding treasury policies, procedures, and internal control mechanisms.
  • Coordinate with various government departments to resolve discrepancies in financial records and disbursement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in government accounting, treasury operations, or public financial management.
  • Working knowledge of the Local Government Code of the Philippines and relevant government auditing rules.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and government-prescribed financial software/database systems.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail, specifically in handling sensitive financial data and public funds.
  • Preferably a Civil Service Professional Eligibility holder or relevant PRC license holder.
