Responsibility
- Classify imported and exported goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and local regulations.
- Prepare and submit customs documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade laws.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and clients to resolve clearance issues efficiently.
- Monitor changes in customs regulations and update internal processes accordingly.
- Conduct audits of shipment records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on tariff classifications and duty optimization strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of all customs transactions and correspondence.
- Assist in resolving disputes or penalties related to customs declarations.
Qualifications
- Valid Customs Broker License issued by the relevant authority.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs classification, logistics, or international trade.
- Proficiency in using customs management software and tariff databases.
- Strong knowledge of HTS codes, Incoterms, and trade compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
