Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of data center technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices, SLAs, and Oracle’s operational standards.
- Design and implement hardware support strategies to enhance system resilience, reliability, and scalability.
- Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution for critical data center hardware issues.
- Develop and enforce governance policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks for data center operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate new technologies and improve infrastructure efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize data center performance metrics, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Sign off on technical designs, change requests, and maintenance activities to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline support processes and reduce manual intervention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in data center operations, hardware support, or IT infrastructure management.
- Proven leadership in managing technical teams and large-scale data center environments.
- In-depth knowledge of server, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies (e.g., Oracle Exadata, Cisco, Dell EMC).
- Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), or vendor-specific credentials (Oracle, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and system issues under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with global teams and vendors.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) and monitoring platforms (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
