Responsibility
- Perform regular calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, GLP, GMP).
- Develop and implement calibration schedules, procedures, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on instruments, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, including certificates, logs, and audit trails for traceability.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to investigate non-conformities and implement preventive measures.
- Train laboratory staff on proper equipment usage, calibration techniques, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and report on equipment performance, suggesting upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Stay updated with advancements in calibration technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory calibration, quality control, or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of calibration standards (ISO 17025, NIST, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using calibration software and tools (e.g., Fluke, Beamex, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in calibration (e.g., CSQA, CQE) is a plus.
