Responsibility
- Translate kitchen-related instructions, recipes, and communications between Mandarin-speaking chefs and local staff.
- Assist in coordinating kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication during kitchen meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain documentation of translated materials, including recipes, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure cultural and linguistic nuances are accurately conveyed.
- Provide support in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Assist in resolving any language-related misunderstandings or conflicts in the kitchen.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is a plus.
