Responsibility

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and marinating food items according to standards.
  • Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency in every meal served.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages or inventory needs to the Kitchen Supervisor.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and daily cleaning.
  • Support the senior culinary team during peak hours to ensure timely service and high food quality.
  • Handle dishwashing duties and ensure all kitchenware is properly sanitized and stored.
  • Strictly adhere to food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP/HALAL) at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage, though entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of basic food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and safely handle heavy kitchen equipment.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn and grow in the culinary industry.
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate (recognized by KKM) is highly preferred.
