As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our chefs to maintain smooth kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and service. Whether you’re assisting with ingredient prep, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, or contributing to dish plating, your attention to detail and passion for food will help elevate our guests’ dining experiences.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of IDR 8.5M – 12M per month, along with the opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, internationally recognized hospitality brand. Responsibility
- Assist chefs with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety standards.
- Support in plating and garnishing dishes to meet presentation guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, slicers, and ovens.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of low stock or supply needs.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and ensure consistency.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and freshness.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment (entry-level candidates with passion are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP or similar certification is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with chefs and staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with Asian or international cuisine is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a bonus.
