Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Lead the architectural planning and deployment of event management systems to enable real-time incident detection and resolution.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate observability best practices across the IT ecosystem.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge tools and technologies for logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Develop and maintain documentation for architectural designs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Optimize system performance by analyzing monitoring data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on observability principles and event management strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our monitoring and observability capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an IT Solutions Architect or similar role, with a focus on monitoring, observability, and event management.
- Strong proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Hands-on experience with event management platforms and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, or SolarWinds).
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native monitoring and logging services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design solutions that balance performance, cost, and scalability.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
