Responsibility
- Maintain and reconcile investment brokerage accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and ledgers related to brokerage transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades and client transactions.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in audits and regulatory examinations by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks in brokerage operations.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Support the Finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within investment brokerage or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP, and brokerage operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
- Experience with audit processes and regulatory reporting is highly desirable.
