Responsibility
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely lodgment with relevant authorities.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to address financial queries and provide support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Experience in a remote work environment is a plus.
