As an Import Staff, you will be a key contributor to our supply chain excellence, meticulously managing the entire import lifecycle. Responsibility
- Prepare, review, and process all necessary import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading (BL), Air Waybills (AWB), Certificates of Origin (COO), and customs declarations.
- Coordinate effectively with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-efficient clearance and delivery of goods.
- Monitor and track inbound shipments from point of origin to final destination, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian customs regulations, import tariffs, trade agreements, and company policies, particularly concerning medical product imports.
- Resolve any discrepancies, delays, or issues related to customs clearance, documentation, or shipment logistics promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all import transactions, duties, taxes, and related expenses for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Assist in cost analysis related to import activities and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Warehouse, Finance) to ensure smooth integration of imported goods into the overall supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in import operations, customs clearance, or freight forwarding, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian customs laws, import regulations, HS codes, and international trade practices.
- Proficiency in using import/export software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving logistical challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
