Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage import shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth import operations.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment status, track cargo movements, and resolve any delays or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers to optimize shipping costs.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and logistics data for reporting and analysis.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving shipping-related issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in import operations, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, Incoterms, and international shipping procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Bali or Indonesian import regulations is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
