Responsibility
- Accurately encode and verify import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely processing of shipments.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records of all import-related transactions and correspondence.
- Monitor and update tracking systems to reflect real-time status of inbound shipments.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation to prevent delays in customs clearance.
- Prepare and submit reports on import activities, volumes, and compliance metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of customs declarations and ensure adherence to local and international trade regulations.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize import workflows and reduce processing times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in import documentation, logistics, freight forwarding, or customs processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Experience with ERP or logistics management software is a plus.
- Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
