Responsibility
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging Unit, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and performance of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards in all imaging procedures.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize unit performance and patient care.
- Collaborate with medical staff, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic results.
- Manage and mentor a team of imaging technicians, providing training, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, coordinating repairs and upgrades as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Analyze unit performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance service quality and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Valid license or certification as a Radiologic Technologist or Imaging Specialist.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams, optimize workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in using imaging software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
