Responsibility

  • Process monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, including personal details, leave balances, and compensation changes.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data with finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Prepare and distribute pay slips, reports, and statutory submissions (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, PCB) in compliance with Malaysian labor laws.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and tax-related matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll activities, including bonus calculations and tax documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to implement payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SQL Payroll, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll regulations, including EPF, SOCSO, and income tax requirements.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
