Responsibility
- IoT Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute a comprehensive IoT strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability and future-readiness.
- System Architecture: Design and oversee the development of end-to-end IoT solutions, including device integration, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams (engineers, developers, data scientists) to deliver IoT projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Innovation & R&D: Drive research and adoption of emerging IoT technologies, protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN), and edge computing solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure IoT systems meet performance, reliability, and security benchmarks through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and align solutions with market needs.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage IoT data analytics to derive actionable insights, enabling predictive maintenance, automation, and business intelligence.
- Compliance & Security: Implement industry best practices for IoT security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 7+ years in IoT development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing IoT projects or teams.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, BLE, Zigbee), cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud), and embedded systems.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, or Node.js for IoT application development.
- Cloud & Data Mastery: Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), database management (SQL/NoSQL), and real-time data processing.
- Project Management: Strong Agile/Scrum experience with tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana to manage complex IoT deployments.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in distributed IoT environments.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with smart lighting, industrial IoT, or smart city applications is a plus.
