Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax filings as required.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both digital and physical, for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
