Responsibility
- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records through thorough analysis and investigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or partial CPA qualification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
