Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, adhering to Haloka’s standards.
- Engage with customers warmly, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including equipment, workstations, and customer areas.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends, techniques, and menu offerings.
- Assist in opening/closing procedures, including setting up equipment and securing the café.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista or in a customer-facing role (preferred but not required—training provided).
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about specialty brewing methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts as needed.
- Strong work ethic, teamwork mindset, and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with coffee equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders) is a plus.
