Responsibility
- Collaborate with Fashion Designers to source fabrics, trims, and accessories that align with design concepts and brand identity.
- Research and identify trend-driven materials, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and sustainability standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and timely deliveries.
- Develop and maintain a supplier database, including contact details, product catalogs, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate sample development and approvals, ensuring materials meet design specifications before bulk ordering.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to recommend innovative materials and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in inventory planning by forecasting material needs and tracking stock levels to avoid shortages or excess.
- Prepare reports on sourcing activities, including cost comparisons, lead times, and supplier reliability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fashion merchandising, sourcing, or textile procurement (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and fashion trends, with an eye for quality and detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or inventory management tools for tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with sustainable and ethical sourcing practices is a plus.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas).
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
